Build a delivery brief that covers the whole order.

Collections, parcel data, COD and returns: the decisions to bring to your delivery conversation.

Build a delivery brief that covers the whole order.

Start with the collection operation

List the pickup locations, normal parcel volume and expected peaks. Describe when parcels are ready, how they are packed and who hands them over. A useful brief distinguishes an ordinary day from a promotion or seasonal peak.

Describe the parcel, not just the order count

Include typical dimensions, weight and any handling requirements. Explain your delivery geography and the store platform you use. Ask the team to confirm how shipment data, labels and tracking will be exchanged; do not assume a particular integration is included.

Bring COD into the scope

If customers pay on delivery, state how much of your volume requires COD. Agree the reconciliation information, remittance arrangements and exception process in the proposal. These commercial terms need explicit confirmation.

Plan the orders that do not complete

Discuss unsuccessful delivery attempts, customer communication and returns. Define where returned parcels go, how their condition is recorded and who decides the next action.

Turn it into one enquiry

Select Sent Express, enter collection and delivery locations, estimate monthly volume and include your COD and returns requirements. If stock also needs storage and order preparation, add fulfillment to the same journey.
